Counselors will receive approximately 85 hours of in-rehearsal instruction and 24 hours of technical rehearsal/performance time for a minimum total of 109 hours of in-person instruction.

Counselor Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop new skills in theatrical arts under the mentorship of professional teaching artists and directors. 

• Generate a warm, inclusive, and energetic atmosphere for your group of campers as well as your fellow team members.

• Under the guidance of the Leadership Director, develop a two-week-long theatrical lesson plan that encourages creative play, teamwork, story-making, and performance.  

• Lead and facilitate theatre games and activities with students during break periods per Leadership Directors instructions.

• Attend ALL required meetings, work, camp, technical, and performance days as well as any additional promotional events.

•  Regularly communicate with the Leadership Director regarding any needs, emergencies, struggles, and any other important information. 

• Fulfill regular cleaning duties (Ex: Running trashes, cleaning spills, wiping lunch tables, etc)

• Facilitate student pick-up, drop-off, and lunch monitor duties according to the team schedule.

Location:

Broadway in Bixby 2026 is rehearsed and performed at the C.E. Gray Performing Arts Center in Bixby, OK.
